Hallelujah!
Just as the title says-- we are home!
Our first flight to Amsterdam went great and we arrived almost 15 minutes early.
Just as we were supposed to board the next flight we were notified that one of the doors to the plane was not latching properly. Our boarding would be delayed 1/2 hour so they could fix it.
20 minutes later we were told that it would take all day.
With a bunch of heavy sighs we then heard that they would switch planes and we would take off only 2 hours later. Yay!
KLM our carrier provided phenomenal service! They went out of their way to make us comfortable, provided warmed up jars of baby food for Oliver, and gave Nolan 3 bags of activities and lots of treats.
For whatever reason all four of us only slept a total of 2 hours.
Going through immigration took longer than usual-- probably because it was the Fourth of July.
After an an hour and a half we finally met up with John and the kids.
It was so nice to see their faces.
Just got back from swimming with all the kids.
It was wonderful.
I have lots of pictures that I will post later this evening.
And I will begin to post on Smiles and Trials again too!
It is wonderful to be home!
I'm so glad everything went well on your flights. Enjoy your children!
