Thank you Carol G! You are the highest bidder for the flower tote bag. Together we are making a difference in the lives of this little boy, and this little boy.
Yay! So excited for your family! I'm sad I won't be here to see them come home (I leave in 6 weeks for a mission to Taiwan for 18 months, and while I'm there, I won't be allowed to surf the internet) but I look forward to going back and reading their whole story when I come back, and seeing how far they will have come!
Your newest family members are ADORABLE! Praying for you and your family as you begin to make preparations for these sweet little ones. And a BABY at that! Things are really going to be hopping at the Reed household now!
I am so thankful that you're adopting little Fischer and Doyle! Over Christmas, I asked my relatives (also with the last name Fischer) to pray for a family to commit to him soon, so I am thrilled to be able to share this praise report with them! I grew up with an uncle (my mom's older brother) who had DS, and he was such a joyful addition to our family. Blessings to your expanding family!
What an absolute blessing! When you said you were adopting again I was hoping so hard that you would adopt a child with Downs! Fischer is going to bring so much joy to your life, and his new big brother Doyle is going do just the same! You are adopting two children but the love in your home is about to grow exponentially. I am crying happy tears not just for those two little boys new futures but for the enormous blessing you are about to receive. You and John are such an inspiration and I pray for you both, and for your 17 children :)
I was hoping for Reid : ) But only you know who God has chosen to be part of your family. Doyle's description also fits my Jasmine except hers is EEC Syndrome--or so they think.
Oh, I'm so excited for you and for these two little loves! Thank you for sharing which boys you are hoping to bring home! If my hubby was of the same mind as me (and some of our kiddos) we'd at least make an attempt to adopt - I'm absolutely fascinated with adoption stories! Well, while we're in Finland, I'm not even sure we'd be able to adopt - my hubby is 'too practical', and since the economy has thrown us for a loop or two, he feels we have enough things going on to just keep ourselves afloat. Thus his rejection for the thought of adopting. We would have much love to give, tho'! I'm so glad you share your story with us, your blog friends!
I saw Doyle on the photolisting site a while back and have been praying for him to find a family. His love of music in spite of his disability really spoke to my heart. Thank God for your family!
Christine, I love how you are sneaking in the little details of your adoption into posts. I am naturally a scanner when I read but I am reading every single word as not to miss any detail. ;) I am really so excited for your whole family and these little guys. They are precious. I love your heart and so thankful God put you with a man who has the same heart for these children.
So beautiful! A baby whoohoo! You KNOW I'm partial to children with DS ;oD . I knew you were the family for Doyle when I saw him, he is a perfect fit, wonderful! Blessings and speed in getting them home!
I have been following your blog for a few months now, and I am so excited for your family!!!! Doyle and Fischer are the cutest little boys I've ever seen! :) Your family inspires me. When I go to college I want to pursue a job in helping families like yours connect with kids that need them. I can't wait to finally see them come home!
Hooray! So fun! You will likely hear stories like this a million times from people, but I have two sisters and they both have kids with Down Syndrome and it has been a wonderful wonderful journey. They are now 19 and 23 and doing outstanding. What a blessing it is to have them in our lives. I'm very excited for you! :)
Thankfully, someone on your FB told me about these links, I totally missed them! So happy to see the beautiful little guys that you're going to be bringing home and can't wait to see how they thrive in your family. :D
Love them both! And glad I don't have to keep them a secret anymore! :)

ReplyDeleteChristine, I was checking out the Reece's Rainbow site form your links of the two boys and didn't see how we could contribute to their fund.
ReplyDeleteOh, they both look like precious little boys... I am especially drawn to Fischer, though, as he is the same age as my younger niece. :)
