What is a Cutie Patootie?

Isn't Doyle a cutie? Those cute, chubby cheeks I could just eat up!  As I type this Rachel is smirking sitting next to me but she knows he is a cutie patootie!  She thinks you will not be familiar with that term but I think you will be.  If you are, please leave a comment-- LOL!  (Rachel is laughing at me.)
Anyway, I wish we had more pictures of Fischer, but we don't.  I'm not too disappointed though because God willing we'll see him soon enough!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yesterday I noticed that immigration cashed our check.  Hopefully that means we will be getting our fingerprinting notice in the mail soon.
Every other document for our dossier is done!
I'm not sure how I got them done, but they are and that's all that matters.
Wooo-hooo!  Praise God!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today over $200 was given to help with Doyle and Fischer's adoption costs.
Hallelujah!
Another window sticker decal was sold too!
A big thank you!
 I wish I could give you a great big hug.

Today, the last package all the way from Germany came-- full of beautiful, handmade jewelry.
Soon we will be having a big giveaway fundraiser.
Check back soon.

P.S.  I'd like to start a blogroll of other families in the adoption process.  Please leave a comment with a link so I could include you.

  1. Rachel, I know what a cutie patootie is. In fact, I have a tiny cutie patootie cat sleeping beside me as I type this!

    Doyle has some really pinchable cheeks. And Fischer will, too! Get ready for some kissing and pinching!!

    I got my decal yesterday! Thanks so much! Will you be selling your cute bags that you're making? I use my owl bag for knitting, and people in my knitting group really like it!

  7. Cutie patootie stems from the well-known Latin phrase cuteus patooteum. It is often accompanied by mothers blowing raspberries on the child's abdomen. It's true! I'm sure it must be on Wikipedia somewhere. ;-)

  8. Rachel, every single morning when Angela gets up for school, as she's coming up the stairs I say "Good morning Cutie Patootie!" If I don't she'll say. "Mom. Say it. Say Cootey Patooey".

  12. Yep, cutie patootie is used here as well in the south. LOL. Some of my kids hate it, some think it's funny. We just finished bringing 3 more home from Bulgaria so no current adoption happening...at the moment. Can't wait to hear more of the two newest Reeds coming home. Best wishes on your continued journey. Stephanie

  13. Dear Rachel, hopefully one day you too will be a proud mama. And you will see that cutie patootie is really code for "my kid of crazy crazy cute and that whole world MUST also think so. how could they NOT?!?" :D :D
    Sincerely, all the mama in the world with the cutest kids ever

  14. He is a cutie patootie! A cutie patootie is a term of endearment for someone, usually a small child, that is so adorable you want to give them a big smoochie! So glad to hear the paper chase is almost over! Looking forward to your big handmade fundraiser!

  15. Rachel, by now you must believe your mother that cutie patootie is a real term - check out: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cutie%20patootie

    Your little guys are cutie patooties! I have a cutie patootie nephew from Vlad. I'm sure the boys will be overjoyed to get home and be treated like the cutie patooties that they are! :-)
